Flowerhorn loosing its color

About three months ago I purchased a Kamalau/Red Dragon FH for my girlfriend. She's about 5". She was a super colorful and active fish.

Now, three months later she is still around 5" and has completely lost her color. I have NO clue why!!
She's in a 55g tank. Water parameters:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10ppm
PH 7.2
Temp 81'F
We feed her NLS Cichlid, Hikari Gold and Omega One.

What could be wrong?!?!

Dont think thats a Kamalau. Its a RD for sure . As far as the colors could be stress

I've thought of that, I just don't know what from! She's in the tank alone and the parameters are no different than before. Could it be diet related? She's still as perky and interactive as ever!!

How often do you do water changes

That could be it not saying that the water changes are bad you need to do them My Fh was the same way her color would drop when i did my water changes but then she got use to them .

Try an aquarium background, my fish freak and lose their colors if all 4 sides are the aquarium can be seen through.

Also appears to have lost the lumpiness on her head, too. Hmm..that's all I can think of!

Try to get some blood worms and brine shrimp. Also get a colorful background. That should help.
