Dear MFK friends,

I want to share 6 fish progress (before and after) because of these the poison infected me so deep guys and making me so in love with flowerhorn. Anyway here is the pictures and please enjoy.......GBU

Its always a suprise to see how they will turn out isn't it Jonz. Some of my best looking growouts were ugly babies, and some of my prettiest babies turned out as ugly growouts. You can never tell, but some do have a better chance than others.

Jonz, what was your formula for getting these MP's to transform into to super MP's.

i have seen these guy many time ,and every time i see them agian it's always inspire me and make me fall in love with them all over agian.thanks bro jonz for sharing and the love for these beautiful fish .are these guy on chingmix too?

Yeap that's true brother from ugly duckling can turn into a swan and also the opposite but that doesn't means we better pick the ugly duckling one hehehe, the main role is a genes, your skill, water and patient.

Specially for kamalau aka Golden Monkey and Kamfa strain needs lots of patient since they need extra care. Hopefully this thread also can inspire you my friend and may God always take care of you

Jonz, what was your formula for getting these MP's to transform into to super MP's.

There's no secret ingredients brother just a couple things we should pay attention :

1. Water condition and parameter must be proper for flowerhorn (Ph 7-7.8) and the filtration must be good.

2. Foods also play an important things brother and usually I used pellet, frozen blood worm, shrimp, and earth worms.

3. Feeding method for sum people is not important but as for me this one is also important since if you pump you fish with a lot of foods then you should realize the water condition going to be bad so fast so need lots of WC. (eg. 10-20% each 2-3 days) then wash your filter sponges every 3-4 days.

4. Lightning this one for sum people also not important but imagine how does a living creature that usually lived in the dark place??I can bet the color must be so dull and not interesting right??So our tank light can replace the sun light and usually I turn on my tank light around 6-8 hours a day (minimum time and maximum are 12 hours).

5. You should aware your fish are not feeling well or sick, usually we can see it by his appetite for internal problems and the fish looks not right if having an external problems.

6. Last but not least guys like I always mention over and over again "GENES" so try to buy a fish by the quality not by the name or strain. Trust me is helping me a lot guys plus if can find a reputable seller or breeder also helping a lot.

All of these looks so hard maybe but if there's no such words "HARD and LAZY" in hobby since I can't find it in our dictionary. All is about happiness, passion and satisfaction. Hopefully all of you didn't say that I'm to fussy..lol but just trying to share from what I know guys and hopefully all of these are helping. GBU

Thanks a lot brother for the reply and I also have the same feeling like you when ever I saw all these fish over and over. And I'm also so lucky since all these fish are in my birth place Jakarta-Indonesia.

hahahhahahaha yeah that is what i believe too lol,that chingmix only help to bring the fish full potentrial out not turning a ugly ducking into a swan lol. and thanks for the info above bro it really help alot of newbie understand how to take care of your flowerhorn lol.
