here are some new pics now that he is in my tank and happy. I dewormed him and quarantined. how he is out and happy.

this picture shows better, his kok size is close to ideal, needs to be slightly bigger. Grandsumo is good, i feed my cichlids and feeder fish grandsumo red, but grandsumo red only enhances the color, doesn't increase kok size.

No specific food will increase head growth. Good water quality and warm water will help but if its not in the fish's genes then it will never happen. I think this FH looks good. His head has some room for growth. Keep the temp at 84-85 degrees and do a 50% water change weekly.

yeah I keep my tank at 30 degrees C. Not sure the F temp but yeah. There is a convect in there for him to pick on too so he feels more domanit. Thanks for the comments hope he surprised u as much as he did me. Love the color and size. Rember he is only 6 inch so more room for growth.
