A yellow fish usually won't turn red lol, but a red fish can fade further to yellow.

You got it in with a ranchu or oranda goldfish? That may not work long term. I would keep the goldie and rehoming the hybrid cichlid, the yellow is the most common color for these "red texas" hybrids.

Goldie is in 120 now lol this fis is turning white in the center I like it it's a keeper for me

This fish is still fading it's getting black all over him from all yellow
