Hey guys, I just picked this guy up the other day and I was really surprised by his instant personality. He loves coming up to the side of the tank when I come into the room, just like my tiger Oscar. Given that he is a hybrid of hybrid of a very aggressive fish he has shown zero aggression and swims with my Oscar and gold severum. I’m just curious if anyone knows anything about this breed. There isn’t a whole lot out there on the internet about them but I’ve fallen in love with this fish

Honestly never had a Kirin parrot. But I have had a King Kong parrot, severums and oscars, and I do keep flowerhorns currently. One thing I've found out thru the years is that more often then not, you can't say for certain his personality won't change. He looks small atm but once he matures he might flip a complete 180 on personality. I've had FH's that get along just fine with other fish one day and then the next they were just terrorizing everybody in the tank. The same goes for Oscars too. I've had a hand full on Oscars and only one of them turned out to be a nightmare of a fish. Granted the plecostomis he was with started the fight by jabing him in the side with a spine. But the pleco lost in the end. Lol not the I'm condoning it but I sure was hilarious seeing an Oscar supplex a pleco. These pics here are of the Oscar and pleco after their fight.

Its a regular fading parrot. Not a kirin or flowerhorn.
Well he did say it was a flowerhorn parrot hybrid. But you might be right. I don't have too much experience on parrots. Only ever had the one and he was a tank boss. Granted he was 10 years old and about the size of a football by the time he passed away. He absolutely hated the 12 year old foot long jack Dempsey he was housed with but was perfectly fine with the .5-2 inch Cichlids.

Granted whether he's a Kirin or a fader it's still a great looking parrot over all. And a correction to what I said before I do remember having a polar parrot once but he sadly got eaten by my asain red tail catfish.
