Looking forward to the pics of these fish. I dig parrots a lot. Not so much the super deformed ones, I prefer KKPs with closing mouths and koks.

you do know that when a reg female parrot and a reg male FH breed its called a kamfa, not a kilin? that body shape does not come with just breeding a male FH and a female parrot.
search kamfa in google and you'll see what i mean.

I don't know much about FHs, but I'm fairly certain the kamfka is a strain of them?

We're talking about BP here though which wouldn't be in a Kamfa. It would be a larger more developed species of parrot if you were going to make FH strain. BPxFH is Kirin or Killin.. Besides don't get too caught up in pics you see on the internet with a certain name. Many are misnamed and just passing along a wrong/illegitamite name.

i am lost on this whole thread... is the OP referring to these babies as dull brown/grey ugly fish or do the fish actually look like parrots with flowerhorn markings?

let me state for the record that just breeding a flowerhorn with a parrot does NOT automatically make it a parrot looking flowerhorn or killin parrot.

Correct, though it does autimatically make Kamfa, contrary to what cichlaguapote said. BP can most definitely be used to make Kamfa. They have the same lineage as any other parrot looking fish, Midas x Synspilum. It's this Syn gene that you need to make Kamfa, and all parrot-shaped fish have it. BP's are no exception.
