That's sounds good! I didn't even think of that - blacking out the sides! I'll try slowly increasing the temperature to 84 and if he's still acting like that then I'll do that with the back and sides - maybe 1/2 of the sides or 3/4 of the sides just so he could still see when I'm entering the room. So 3 water changes a week you do? How much do you do? I love doing water changes I just wasn't sure if it'd be better to do 1 a week or if I could do more. That's awesome! I'm happy I have some stuff to try! Thanks for all the info! He's an amazing fish I just want him to feel safe and enjoy his setup!
I only do 3 because I am over stocked, about 40% each water change. Plus I feed heavily. Yes raise the temperature over a week or so to pervert shock.

Awesome I will try all of that! If I do get ich - what's the safest way to cure that? I know I'm my Rainbowfish tank I up'd the temperature and added aquarium salt and it cleared up pretty quickly actually. Is there anything you know that works or would that be the same procedure with a Fkowerhorn too? Thanks man for all your help!

Could someone please give me some advice! One fish store with smart people working there told me to lower the temp to 76/78 based on everything I said in my first post yesterday. This other fish store which somewhat specializes in Flowerhorns and Goldfish and Koi said I should raise to 84 add epsom salt and some Bifuran from Hikari. Should I lower should I raise I'm really lost here because I obviously want to do the right one! Thanks everyone!

Do not lower the temp. Epsom salt is only good to help it poop if it is going on a regular no need to add
