I removed the clay plate and cleaned it... While I was doing that the male flowerhorn started attacking the female why is that ...?

Also no one answered me on why she ate the eggs ??

Female or male usually will eat those rotten eggs to sort bad n good eggs ..thts wat i observed on my pair..there is also a few factor caused it..u can read on sticky on breeding forum..

Ya I read that before but she ate the good eggs. Maybe because I moved the plate a little and she felt threatened I don't know

You probably didnt have any good eggs at all. If the eggs are no good females or other fish usually eat them but sometimes dont.
