Daisy (my FH) just did something I’ve never seen him do before and I don’t know if I should be worried or not, he was flaring his dorsal fin and vibrating it along with flashing2 times on the substrate, did a test on the water and the parameters are the same as always and I currently have a 5 min ammonia test going. Along with the fin vibrating and flaring and flashing, i notice a thin black trim on his tail fin. What do I do?

Ammonia test is done and it’s a slight dark yellow but hardly noticeable unless you look at for a minute really closely. Could it be ammonia poisoning?

I’ve never seen this in him before and he did it while against the glass looking at me. Could be stress, dominance, a list of things.

No. He Swam back and forth real fast like he does when he sddd his reflection on the glass or the mirror but that’s normal and isn’t at all a nodding motion. He just did it again. I’ll set my phone up and record the tank for a while and see if I can get him on video doing it
