flowerhorn tankmates

like alot of others flowerhorns can be pretty unpredictable, i once had a female that i couldnt keep anything with. at present i have a large male that is in with trimacs, jags, loiselli, mayan, johanna pike,xingu pike. he is king of the tank and a good one....doesnt start anything and has never harmed anything. twisted penguin has seen him and the setup. he was raised alone and grown to full size before he was added to the tank.

Hey Mike, your FH is the reason I got mine
I think it's way too broad to say "all FH's will kill other fish". Mine is only 4" but he's in with 8 Clown Loaches that he completely ignores. As soon as the hybrid Syno cat is out of quarrantine he'll go in there, too.

i kept a 9 inch flowerhorn along with the 8 inch pleco. the flowerhorn pecks the pleco but common plecos are hard to kill for fh. they are invincible. lol
