flowerhorn tankmates

When my FH was 2.5", I kept it with a bunch of 3.5" convicts. But that only lasted for about a month
before it started chasing down (not chasing away) the convicts. He's 6.5" now and all by himself.
I think a FH or Oscar is the only fish I would keep by itself since they make excellent wet pets with great looks.
I really dig the way my FH always begs for food and attention. :headbang2

I love your fish choices. Everything looks great together and it looks like you have a pretty good balance aggression-wise. Everyone's healthy and no shredded fins. Great job! The only thing I would change is the sand, you have WAY too much. lol

Anything is possable. I kept ma last FH with a large school of black skirt tetras. My new one is housed with 3 parrots and 2 discus in a 60 gallon tank. He did kill 1 dicus but I guess he likes the color yellow because I bought a second and he's very protective of both. It's quite sweet actually. You just have to be willing to accept that it's hit and miss. He actually gaurds the discus from the parrots while they eat :)
