I got this flowerhorn before a couple of days. What breed is he.and does he has ich? He is eating fine and active.he didn't have these spots when i braught him. If this is ich, how to treat it? IMG_20181120_110057.jpg IMG_20181120_105809.jpg IMG_20181120_105804.jpg

Looks like ich. Have the spots increased in number? How’s ur water quality?

Sorry don’t know the type of fh.

Can dose with meds. Like paragaurd and kordon Ich attack/plus.

Other option is heat and salt. Increase temp s degree per hour to 86 degrees. Add salt at 1 tsp per gallon 3 times about 6 hrs apart. Do water changes and gravel vacuum. Replace the amount of salt removed with the water change. Leave like this for couple of weeks. Make sure to add a powerhead if u choose this route.

Would one or the other for ich treatments and not both or a mix of the two.

Actually yeah, the number of white spots have increased.i have just started the treatment. set the heater at 30 degrees celsius and have added 20 tablespoon salt. My flowerhorn is now in a 75 galoon. It is a partioned tank(Using suckers and glass) and I have a silver arowana on the other side of the tank. The water could flow between the partion and now i am scared whether will my Arowana will be affected too.

I know flowerhorns could take salt well.but I am worried about the silver arowana..How do they take to salt?

They should tolerate the salt.

Not too stressed then hope not.

Looks to be a red dragon with ich, raise temp to 86 and daily 20% water change. It’s going to get worse before it gets better so just be patient and consistent.

Increased the temperature and added salt. It has now got less. Does it cure overnight?
