Flowerhorn with Pleco.. is it advisable to keep them together?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was referring to the glass with tiny white spots.. sry for the confusion..
& yeah, I do notice that pleco doesn't consume waste.. Guess I'll have to scrap the pleco idea & double up my maintenance during water change.. lol

I don't see any reason not to try a pleco, at least you won't have to clean the inside of the glass. Of course I am partial to them being one of my favorite fish..

I have that same issue with both my green terror and my texas. I removed both pleco's, and just clean the glass in both tanks myself.

I know flowerhorn should be kept solo in a tank but is it ok to add in a pleco?
The tank seems a bit dirty without a pleco..
Please advise.. thx

hi
if you keep flowerhorn with pleco since they were small than it is ok:) but if flowerhorn is large and you want to add small pleco - it may be his end:grinno: pleco is only hungry for algae when young, later he becomes lazy - wating for food:popcorn:. To get rid of waste, increase filtration, use power head for better circlation or buy some "waste control".:D PEACE.
