Red monkeys are mostly Glassbangers in the right hands. They are the most furious of them all when you want a glassbanging fish.. But Be careful with the big bangers they can break their spines and kill themselves.

If won't a glass hitter try dovii , umbee But it your flowerhorn a male , get u a mirror so it can see itself He will attack mirror Use your finger with mirror So it maybe will trick him to attack finger later

Really a jag? I would love to have a jag. I just never thought I had enough space.

Bigger is better, but I don't see why not. Especially if you can find a female adolescent . They still can be shy at the small mark. I believe females hang around the 12-14" mark if any jag owners could confirm. I own one myself but only 5" atm.

They look really cool. How is their personality? I wanna stay away from shy fish. I just recently got my 125 gallon and I have yet to find a fish that will OWN the tank, so it continues to look empty.

Maby you are impatient with having small cichlids at the start? Not to insult. Maby find someone who has a Jag that needs rehoming of a larger size and try to have heavy drift wood or large objects for it to feel 'safe'. I haven't had my jag for long, im sure a jag veteran could answer better. Mine personally is territorial of its space. Mine was shy at 3" only because instinct tells it to be wary to anything to better its survival rate of getting eaten. An adult jag should not shy.

I understand, trust me, but reward of watching them grow and remembering it , only happens once to that fish. But nothing wrong with finding something the size you want now ;)
