Can anyone give some tips on introducing a female flowerhorn to my male?
My male is 5inch in 125 gal

I breed many types of cichlids and flowerhorns are by far the trickiest ones. Best way use a divider and let them get acquainted and when her tube is getting swollen take out the male and pheromones will make them get busy make sure it's dropped completely she will lay eggs soon with the male. The male will fertilize it and when they're completely done take out the eggs and put them in another tank with high heat and meth blue. Separate the parents and that's it. I've lost many nice females by the male killing them. I didn't catch the beating in time even with hiding spots a big blow can knock them out cold and that's it

Most females won't lay eggs if no male around you need to divide them. Usually with no make around they will absorb the eggs
