flowerhorns at petco for a dollar an inch!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what size is it? it could turn out nice. all it needs is the kok to pop out. it might be a female though. i like the red fins , and i also agree that i think this one looks nicer then ur older one. nice pick up/save from petco. sometimes i don't think places like this should be aloud to sell fish.

well beldtsaquarium said theyd get flowerhorns in today or thursday so go to their website and call and ask if they did and what kind.

www.beldtsaquarium.com I think

and someone on craigslist is in columbia selling a 55 gallon and stand for 50 bucks.

just go to craigslist and go to st louis area and type in aquarium.

but yeah i thought its fins looked long and red so I want to see how it turns out.

If its female i don't care. My other one looks like it has a head developing though, but It has to be female.

so far out of all the cichlids I have ever bought all of them have been female except one bolivian ram and one severum.

hopefully one of these is male

Flowerhorn def. a female gl though!

which one, theres 2.

how can you tell its a female? Isn't it still undeterminable at that size? (under 2 inches)

tell me how you got to this conclusion, I want to know how to determine their sex this small.

y the divider at that small they will probaly get along if not then put it back in but if you wait till there big and try to let them out its going to be a fight ..just my opinion though

First off i can tell by your decor that they are more ten an inch second there is no reason to bash me because you hoped for a male and got a female sorry bud gl

?

no they are between an inch and an inch and a half, that filter intake thing is maybe 2-2.5 inches long.

they are no way any more than 2 inches now including tail. (which I read my aquarium atlas doesn't count when counting body length)

yet again you insist on being a female and you don't tell me how you figure it is.

clearly its a juvenile jsut admit you are wrong.

yeah the divider is up because my old flowerhorn is developing a hump on his head and thinks he's all dominant and he charges the other when he gets too close to the divider. i will probably get rid of one though, but if ones a male and ones a female I might mix up the decor (I have a LOT of driftwood lying around) and re introduce them, but this is far from now as they are still VERY SMALL. They can eat maybe 4 pellets a day, just because it takes them a while to fit them in their mouth and chew them up and swallow them.
