mayweather has said that if he is called out he must retalitate this he has said in the wreastlemania commercails granted its a gimick. we know he hates UFC and MMA in general hell he thinks chuck lidell is a ***** http://www.ultimate-fighter.ca/blog/2007/mayweather-thinks-chuck-liddell-is-a-*****/

he also thinks that UCF and MMA fighters are just guys who couldn't hack boxing http://www.ultimate-fighter.ca/blog/2007/mayweather-still-talking-crap-about-the-ufc/

but when sean sherk who would be in he wieght class calls him out he won't respond to it
http://www.ultimate-fighter.ca/blog/2007/sean-sherk-calls-out-floyd-mayweather/ this is before his steroid scandal

also "hulk" hogan all but comfirmed that wrestling is fake by saying that the who fight is real till the end thats predeterminded that comment was said on a episod of jimmy kimmel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwn1TI0_wqw go to about 1:48 thats where he makes the comment

so with mayweather being a *** about the UFC and saying for WWE that he don't back down to a challenge when called out and wrestling being fake as we all know but the hulkster confirming don't ya think that mayweather should just man up and do a exibition fight with a UFC fighter let him have like BJ Penn or kenny florian these guys will more then likly happy to punish mayweather and they have not been in the mix for a steroid scandal although i would stilll love to see a sherk mayweather fight b/c sherk called him out but i think mayweather should stop being a ***** and fight a UFC fighter or STFU about other fighting leagues

I am an avid supporter of MMA and I write for www.revolutionfight.com. That said, I have to defend the premise that boxers are more than capable of holding their own. Pugilism is very much a martial art and while MMA calls for a fighter to be proficient in more than one style generally, most MMA fighters are not up to the level of a top boxer when it comes to striking. Now, if Kenflo got him to the ground life would be rather difficult, but Mayweather would have better than a punchers chance in any fight that remained standing. I have trained in taekwondo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu and I see a lot of fighters out there who are completely clueless about striking, they will choke you out in about 10 seconds but they could not box their way out of a wet paper bag. Mayweather would have been able to go toe to toe with all but the best MMA fighters in his prime. At this point he is just looking for a paycheck.

This is all good information - boxing takes a lot of skill, and I often see folks who are not educated in what it truely involves trying to go one way or the other with the MMA vs. Boxer argument.

But when it really comes down to it, why would boxers who rake in close to a million a fight want to put their career on the line to prove a point in a cage?

Mayweather makes more like 25 million a fight....

I don't think they can really afford that anyway....There really is no argument here....Getting all worked up over a fantasy fictitious scenario is just that.....

dammit, whenever I say "where is someone" they always post.. :irked:

Every 10 years or so, WWE has a boxer in Wrestemania. It is a lame gimmick. In the 80's, it was Ali. In the 90's it was Tyson, and now this.

its not an argument on wether a boxer could fight in the UFC or any MMA league its the fact the he wil talk crap bout it and not back it but calls it fake then goes to fight WWE now i understand that he is in it for the paycheck and i have nothing against that get paid while u can by all means but to say that chuck is a B**** and he could train anyone to beat him then when someone his own wieght calls him out and admits that if it were a boxing match he would lose but if it came to a MMA fight mayweather would have no chance then mayweather does not come forward and fight this guy and has not to my knowledge said anymore crap about MMA it's stupid and more then likly a publicity stunt by mayweather to get his name out b/c boxing is going down hill most pp could not name you 5 heavy wieght boxers off the top of there heads anymore but if it was the 80s most ppl could this being said i think mayweather just started a bunch of crap to get his name back out in the limelight to make more $$$$$$ in the long run

Mayweather is probably the best pound for pound boxer of our generation. The problem is that he is so good he has no one left to fight. The challenge of UFC is probably interesting to him, but I don't think there is any way he will take a 20 million dollar paycut.
