i was NOT expecting hatton to get KO'ed..wow

OMG.. i was so depressed last night , you dont even know.
I have been waiting for somebody to shut Mayweather up ...I may have lost hope.

But this i have to say, i have to give Mayrunner his props... His defense is top notch , and he is able to adapt, analyze and ultimately exploit his opponent's weakness.

just got up after staying up all night to watch it. I'm gutted for him. Shame about the ref, you could tell where it was going by 5th round or even earlier. I thought it would go to points but hitman lost the game plan... ahwell. FM took his chances well.

ya its too bad fm is taking a year or 2 off. i think his reasoning is just like larry merchant said about how could he do against bigger and harder hitting upcoming fighters such as miguel cotto and kermit cintron and such. so far he has fought a older out of prime mosely then a man who hardly ever fights anymore and out of prime oscar delahoya also fought baldomir who probably should have never been there to begin with and then fights rh who deffinetly belongs in the lower weight class. id like to see him up against cotto.

is it me or did fm not hit him like 3 times in the back of the head in the round right after he got a point taken away?We all saw it,they didnt even replay it.All the replay in slow mo were of ricky getting hit up.I love boxing so much but the ref,who ever is in charge of replays,god its ruining it for me.Let them fight,it was a real fight,finaly.AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I cant believe the ref acted like that after all the huggin and kissin heavy wieghts get away with.

The ref was definitely from the FM camp! If he had his way the 2 fighters would have been in different rings lol. Well Calzaghe got sports personality of the year with Ricky 3rd which brings some commonsense to the British sports scene

calzaghe is awesome..i'd say he and hatton are my top two favorites right now.

but yeah..hatton had a many chances at some good body shots and didn't take them..im guessing he was thinking to much. anyone see his previous fight? body shot KO..right to the liver...awesome.

Ricky deserved it. Not only did he get outclassed,but so did his fans. They were morons. They come to america and boo our national anthem, THEN watch their idol get layed out.

His dirty boxing style sucks as well. He is absolutely no fun to watch.

Bottom line is mayweather beat him. Not because the ref did anything, but because he is better.

Agree that the Brits shouldn't have booed your National Anthem, It is a big NONO and they should have known better.
They came to America, had a superb week or two, behaved impeccably, brought some fun and personality to the area, mixed well with you Americans and enjoyed themselves.
Think that they were booing the anthem as it was for FM but either way it was wrong. One thing fella, they defintely ain't morons.

You were obviously watching a different fight if you thought Hatton was dirty. The bought ref didn't give him time to be dirty. His style as everyone knows (apart from maybe you) is to work inside with awesome body shots (as TheMightyOscar said) and a lot of pressure fighting that sap the opponents.
He wasn't the one with elbows, head and forearms, hell he even lost a point for not punching Mayweather on the back of the head!!
Light Welter is his game and FM was too big, too classy and too much. Good luck to him.
Watch Hatton go again at Light Welterweight and comment after that.
You probably think that Calzaghe was lucky against Lacey!!!

God knows what you watch if you dont think Hatton is fun to watch. There again I dont watch Boxing because it is fun. Going surfing is fun or on holiday (sorry vacation)is fun but boxing is far more than that.

Hopefully the fans will be exactly the same for Bernard against Joe just minus the booing.

yeah the moron coment is crap.the energy and realness of that night is something we did not feel.I dont think it was out of disrespect for usa.they shouldnt have done it but i bet some americans would have done it too over there.I too think it was not dirty.I was very entertained.I predicted half of it and still was.I knew fm would wait till last 20 sec of rounds and unleash so when he would wear out it would be round over.the round before the nockout fm saved all his energy and the next round was fully charged.What have the other guys said about the booing?has their been anything?
