Missed this year...didn't know what I had was the flu or not though...

Study suggest a child is twice as likely to be autistic if during pregnancy the mother came down with the flu...even though the flu shot is only 60% effective, it is still worth it for the pregnant women to get vaccinated.

should have gotten mine ...but came down with whooping cough.... now I have what might be described as a bad head cold(my guess is some version of the flu)

Man, public health is a very frustrating field to work in!!!

In order for an illness to be influenza, cases require sore throat, cough, and fever over 100*F at minimum.

Re: Red Devil: I also got mine in October, and am fine. For those of you who are still considering getting one, just please be aware that it will take upward of 2 weeks to gain full protection against the three strains used in the vaccination. Also, be aware that people are infectious a day before they show symptoms, and up to 5-6 days afterward!!!

Got mine weeks ago. Not an option when your pulmonary functions are compromised. Flu shot every year and pneumonia shot every five.
