Fluidized Bed Filter Pump HELP!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks Miguel! Still waiting for a reply on the e-mail from Lifegard. Also love your icon! My fav breed Dogue De Bourdeaux! I lost mine 2 years ago. :(

I love the breed. Have had several of them.

As well as Mastino's.

Watch out with the start of that filter, ok? One bit of flow too much, out into the tanks goes the sand, ok?

You will want the sand slowlly revolving ion the filter, within the thesholds ( max and Min ) that should be inscribed in the filter.

sure the box the filter came in has no indication of the recommended pump??

No the box just has pretty pictures! And I will take your advice on the flow when turning it on! Thanks so much. And mastino's are amazing dogs!

The instructions (which I have in front of me right now at work!) just mention The bed filter is most effective at low rates.

I'm rereading everything now on the instructions to make sure!

are there a lot of power outages where you're at? This filters are dangerous if the power goes out, because the sand impacts and the whole mix gets poisonous.

If you have a power outage, say for more than an hour, take the filter out and restart it again, after cleaning. You don't want that stuff in your tank when the juice comes back again.

OMG!!!! I found it! I found the section of recommended pumps! I am so sorry!
But I'm confused...it has two different pumps for what seems like the same bed filter?

It says:
Lifegard Quiet One - Pupm Model 800 - FBF: FB300

Lifegard Quiet One - Pupm Model 1200 - FBF: FB300

What is the difference?

must be 1200 gallons versus 800 gallons.

buy the 1200 BUT install the control valve.

Good to know about the power outages. I am moving to an area that every now and then does have power outages. The 150gallon isn't up yet as I still have to move it. But I was thinking of putting on a emergency power generator for such emergencies.
