Fluidized bed filter

This guy used pool filter sand.

It might be a bit larger so room might be a factor. The pool filter probaly is set up to back wash easily which could be very useful.

You do understand these are two different types of filters.

A pool sand filter is a mechanical filter which over time may do some biological filtration but does not have a fluidised moving bed like a FBF.
