I went to my LFS today & noticed this stunning aquarium for sale, it comes with, Fluval all glass aquarium, wood stand built by Fluval, Fluval sliding glass lid, built in; drilled intake/output, Fluval 305, Fluval heater, and some sort of HO lighting. It all costs $900, is it worth the buy or just an overpriced *smallish tank, opinions please. I beleive it's called the "Osaka" series.

Anyone annoyed of the word "Fluval" yet.. lol :D

overpriced smallish tank.

if you spent $900 on a peice by peice brand new setup you could get a 90g setup at the same store.

if you are going to spend $900, do this instead.

Exactly what I was thinking, because the tank itself is only 30% of the appeal. I could do a whole lot more with a 90g, thanks :)

sorry im not much of help, but i must say..i didnt know fluval made tanks! IMO its a pricey, but..its a retail store..expect to see markup prices.
it sounds alright..but 900$ can go alot further!..so its just up to you to decide if you wanna put the money up!

The appeal of it is that it is a rimless, seamless tank. It doesn't have any silicone slopped on by a drunken monkey. They are usually used for show tanks since it is easier for light to penetrate the water without going through a top first, hence the hanging light. Seamless tanks usually don't come with tops, so the water evaporates from them very quickly, but I gues the built in top fixes that problem. It's really up to you if you want it that bad, but just like most others I would rather have a 90g for that kind of money.

That's 2 for a 90g, I think I'm starting to lean away from the idea.. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. :)

The appeal of a set-up like this is not in the $/gallon....it's in the beauty (if you like the look I reckon) and simplicity of it.
