As thorough mechanical filtration improves the efficiency of bio media... and typically mechanical filtration on sumps are less than ideal...

I will post my sump tank & overflow picture and want some advises. This is my first time to use sump tank for my 180G .
I went to Big Als Store and they don't have the Seachem Matrix and I am going to order it online.

i saw a study on bio media and it compared them all and matrix had highest surface area by quite a bit. that plus the decent price plus and such a good company i went with it.
