These are F1 frontosas. Also pH/kh/gh doesn't really affect clown loaches, as long as the chemistry is stable you're fine. Same really goes for captive bred frontosa.

I would say, it depends on dimensions. If it is a 60 gallon that is about 12 inches wide, I would not add anything else since it is not wide enough. If it is a little wider than that, I would probably try like 4 clowns. Clowns are very active creatures.

Unless you have a bigger tank planned very soon (100+ gallon)

Never kept fronts so I can't say too much about them other than I heard they are aggressive eaters haha
Make sure they will not eat the clowns

36" x 18". I'm thinking 6x clowns?
