Clowns are slow growing,but they grow quickly when they are small. I started with some 2 inch clowns about 4-6 months ago and they are around 4 inches now. Not a huge difference, but when you have 8 of them haha
I would say, it depends on dimensions. If it is a 60 gallon that is about 12 inches wide, I would not add anything else since it is not wide enough. If it is a little wider than that, I would probably try like 4 clowns. Clowns are very active creatures.
Unless you have a bigger tank planned very soon (100+ gallon)
Never kept fronts so I can't say too much about them other than I heard they are aggressive eaters haha
Make sure they will not eat the clowns
