Well it is pumice, but yes some sinks some doesn't. In a canister it's not a big deal, in a HOB especially an AC its liable to float out into the tank.

Yesterday i replaced the carbon with purigen in both the aquaclears. Added an extra layer of sponge at the bottom these filters. Reqlly happy to see the crystal clear water today. Additionally, added matrix and dnitrate in the sun sun canister. But, there is no considerable change in nitrate level when i checked the parameters today. Ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, while nitrate is still 40ppm. Will do a 70%water change today. Hope it will help to bring down the bitrate level a bit.
In the shop i have seen white creamic balls. I dont have any idea about these balls. So disnot buy it. However the shop owner was very eager to sell ADA bio-rio. However, since i havenot heard of bio-rio, i didnot bought it. Any idea how theese media are?
