hey i have a question for you guys.. i have a fluval 406 canister and when i plug it in after cleanings or water changes etc, i get a clicking noise for .25-2 seconds each time before it starts throwing water.. is this normal? it clicks for a second then starts pumping and is perfectly quiet.

Probably just flushing some air. Sounds normal.

there is some air in the filter. When you start it up, there should be a large pop of air that comes out. Most canister filters have this when it starts.

My 406 does the same thing for a few seconds then it runs fine....I really like the 406 over the 405 btw

Mu 406 does it too and if u look at the owners manual its says its a normal thing
