hey everyone i have an E300 fluval heater and its not working. every time i have the temp set to 83 F the thing drops down to 74 F and just keeps blink blue i read the instructions and nothing in here has that problem or (warning listed). Just wondering if anyone had a similar problem and know how to fix it. Other wise im sending it in.

Blinking blue means the tank temp is lower than the set temp and the heater is working on heating the water, if its red the temp is too hot, when its green the water is just right

I just unboxed my E300 today as well,
says the tank is at 79, I set it to 80, but it does not feel like 79.

gonna find a thermometer tomorrow and get a second opinion lol

yeah i know the temp colors i have had this for about 2 months the thing is its blink saying LF which is low flow. that means i need to put it next to the flow tube in my tank which is fine but then the temp wont rise of 79.5 its pissing me off the set temp is 83 and it wont go any higher. so i have no idea whats going on im just going to send it in

The simple solution: go buy a different heater. I had one on a 100 gal and it was complete crap. Struggled to keep the tank 10 degrees above room temp.

I own 2 of these and they work wonders I have have other heaters fail and these seem to hold up very well.

have one on a 106. as its getting to the mid to low sixties in the house now its starting to drop from 77 to about 74 at night and taking all day to heat it back up.just bought some jagers for my other tank and if i like them better may end up switching the e300 over

What is your current lowest room temperature where the tank is kept ?
What size tank?
What size heater ?

I have the tank in the basement its hotter down here now windows down here that can be open and the heat right now is about 78F and the tank is stuck at 79F and it wont seem to go any higher. It is in a 150 gallon tank right now with another s00wat aqueon Heater both set to 84F and still nothing i can feel heat radiating off of the tube but still its taking forever to warm up. i guess i need to buy more heaters for the tank since this is not working all that well. The E300 is stock for 100 gallons (hence the two heaters). So who knows im sending it in since it was working fine the other day.
