I woke up on Saturday and my FX5 was doing the same thing (blowing bubbles)but I knew the problen straight away.
The rubber seal at the top the intake tube has some play in it after years underwater.
I clamp it with a plactic zip tie to make it air tight.
Sometimes the rubber fittings are loose around the tubing and let in air.
Just my 2 cents away.
