Fluval FX5 canister filter

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Always depends on the age and especially the condition of the filter. If it's in good condition, that's a bargain.

I would buy it and I hate them!

If it were complete with intake, output, hose, usable sponges, no leaking seals, no broken lid hold down clamps, working motor... then yes, its a good deal.

If you have to buy any of the seals or parts on my list then I would make them go lower. All the replacement parts start to add up in price.

Rodger...our resident FX5 hater...That is a steal but I would inspect it very thoroughly as there has to be something wrong for it to be priced so low.

+1 id inspect closely and run it if u can before buying. Usually more around the 150 mark.

+1. Make sure you inspect that thing fully. $80 is a steal if it's in good condition with all working parts. I bought mine for $130 and might be coming up on another for same price to replace my cheap canister filters on my 100 earth eater tank.

Go for it...
