Fluval FX5 noise

i had this problem i opened up my fx5, got rid of some media replaced the lid restarted it and bam, quiet as hell.

Its just a big loud FX-5 seems to me.

depending on what you are used to the fx5 IS a big pump and will make sounds.. 3700 litres are a lot of water movement..

Not sure what the problem is, mine is inside my stand and is QUIET... I do hear some hum when the doors are open but not enough to think there's a problem.

mine had noise during the 1st day after i ran it. but the noise was completely gone by the 2nd day, so u mite wanna just wait for a little longer

mine is quiet except for about 10 min before it evacuates air and then it gets quiet again until the next day and the cycle goes on.

Mine only makes noise when it is clogged. That's when I clean it. The only other time I had a problem was when I put too much media in the inner chambers. Removed some and it was fine.
