Same here...just bought one today.
The lfs near me wants $400 for an FX5 new.
On Ebay...Final closing price: $163.50 and $30 to ship it to Massachusetts.

I am getting Jealous my FX5 from ebay won't be here for two more days and the media for it a day after that!!! Wish bigalsonline had express shipping (for the media)
I am curious has anyone hooked theres up as a closed loop system? I am planning on plumbing my FX5 through bulkheads in the bottom of my tank. Just wondering?

You have to be careful with the head pressure on the outlet side of the pump...in other words your return needs to be towords the top of the tank. If your tanks bottom drilled then you'll need to run an outlet pipe up to the top of the tank or the weight of water in the tank with constantly fight the pump.
You also need to be working with 1" pipe rather than 3/4". I've seen problems develope from 3/4" PVC. If you watch the DVD and read the instructions closely they are very speciffic about how long the hoses can be and how they should be run.
