Well its hard to say "yes". If it was me... I would buy another impeller

Basically, the impeller does not spin on those ridges and should not come in contact with anything. There is as you know a large plastic ring which should sit on those. Now if the impeller shaft has for some reason chewed up the inner bore of the large plastic ring (as I call it) than the impeller will vibrate a lot.

Here is another picture of someones Fx5.... notice it looks the same as yours. I do believe mine looks the same as well, its been awhile since I have taken the motor off. The filter below is in good working order.
