Fluval fx6 or sump

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Personally I would go with the fx5/fx6. Sumps are great but need to be tended to constantly as you mentioned, the biggest reason is evaporation. If I could redo it, I would go fx5 all day long. Not to mention a diy sump basically cost the same as a used fx5, and a new sump basically costs the same as a new fx5 lol

Hi....I bought a Fluval fx6 used in 2 tanks. Do I have to worry about the issue of overflow ? If it 8s possible, I m thinking of setting up an overflow cum sump tank. Is it a good idea?

I wish you all out there can give me your valuable advise....I am new to this hobby.

two weeks isn't that bad. Get some painters tape and place it on the sump to the level you want the water to be so the wife doesn't over fill it. You can definitely fix the noise issue but gonna take some work
