While I can afford to commute with a Lexus, I opted, and am satisfied, with a Corolla....again ;)

Once again, it comes down to: "it's your money, spend it however you wish"

Thank you, raycer. You are correct, it is a spend your money as you wish situation. Again, this purchase was a special case for me, and it was a treat to myself for a new job. I don't normally spend this kind of money on filtration, but I was able to make this purchase with confidence since I had the opportunity to buy and use a G3 with someone else's money and did not have to fork out my own cash to find out if the thing was worth it. After getting some experience with the unit, I knew for SURE that I had to have one for one specific application in my life.

I started this thread so that others who find themselves pondering the possibility of dropping a ridiculous lump of cash for the size of the filter, that those people might benefit from the experience of others who have taken the plunge. There are plenty of threads on many different sites bashing this filter for it's cost to biocapacity ratio, but relatively few accounts from users. I don't think this is because there are not happy users out there, I think it is more or less because those satisfied users don't care to open the discussion given the general attitude of others who insist the G series is a waste of money...

My opinion... If this is something that you have wanted to purchase, think you might like to have one day, or are ready to buy, GO FOR IT! It is an awesome filter. Do not purchase this filter expecting it to give you the best filtration performance ever just because it is expensive, as doing so would make you a dumbie and you will be disappointed. If you value other benefits, as previously discussed, this unit will not disappoint you.

Well, you did a pretty good job ignoring most of what I had said... Thank you for your opinion, I do not wish to devalue it, but your previous comment seemed very much like you were unwilling to acknowledge the opinions of others.
I read every post before i even replied. LOL You posted YOUR reasons on why you think its the best. I weighed out every option and feature as if i was a consumer considering the purchase of one. Im sorry the reasons you think its the best didnt matter to me. Regardless your condescending reply was completely uncalled for.

I made no claim that it was the best and non of my post was meant to compare this filter to any other filter. I was simply pointing out the stand alone features that make this filter worth the cost to me. I didn't ask what filter you would buy, nor did I advocate buying this filter over any other. You response stared 'I just can't see any reason to buy a G series filter over an FX6' and then continued to state the obvious advantages of an FX6 over a G series. This advantages are well recognizes, even in my original post. The ignorance comment (which I assume is what you are so offended by) was in reference to the main topic of the post, the advantages that DO exist and were clearly stated in the first post. Again, I don't care what filter you buy or why, but for you to read my first post and then state that there are no advantages to the G series is ignorant, just as ignorant as it would be for me to claim that the G6 is a 'better filter' than the FX6.
