I just read about the new Fluval G-series(G3 & G6). It's more advanced than any other under cabinet filter that I've seen. I was leaning towards the F5 but after reading about the G-series I may switch up. Has any used this filter?

Yeah, I just saw the article so I haven't made my mind up. Everyone tells me that F5's are the best. I'll probably stick with the consensus. I'll be starting a new tank soon and I just want to make sure that I have the best filter for it.
The lfs near me has one of display. It is bad ass!! It has a screen with flow rate, temperature, light trends it is ridiculous. They had the g3 on display and it was tiny though. Doesnt look like it would do much for anything more than a 30g tanks.
I read some more about the G-series and it doesn't look like it can filter anything over 160 gal. That won't help me. I'm looking for something to filter 250 or better. Fx5's are leading the pack right now. G-3 may be good for my smaller tank if I decide to get one.
I've been running one for more than a week now and have mixed feelings about it. I'm not convinced that the chemical filtration is worth the money...
