Fluval heater

So... my fluval heater blows ballsack... I have it set on 66 degrees F and it put the temp of the water over 85!!! WTF!? Junk! What is a good heater that I can rely on... I really hate wasting money on CRAP!

Funny at my lfs theres a huggggge sale on the silver dildo looking heaters lmao glad not to have bought one. I use 22$ heater from walmart and i have an ir thermo the temp never changes more then a half of a degree

Actually its a whisper 200watt and like i said its perfect for my 90gal and i live in midwest. Lasted years now. Im not saying its the best but its RELIABLE AS FKUC!

I'm disappointed as hell with my Fluval dildo too. I used to swear by them and but now I think that they are just junk. I switched over to the Aqueon Pro heaters and they are great and not priced too bad. Those and Ebo Jager have been nothing but great for me so far. I just wish Ebo's were easier to find locally.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered a jager today. Ganna just have to keep an eye on this stupid fluval and keep plugging and unplugging it. What a pain!

I have 9 Fluval E Series 300w Heaters, all work great. I did have a silver Fluval, which could be what others are describing, but it didn't seem to work as well, so you're not alone there, but heating to 85? Eek! Their support is pretty good, try contacting them.
