I remembered
Here there's about a $200-250 dollar difference between the fx5 and 2262
The 1262 alone costs 180+13% tax on average. That pump is solid a works great.
We get taken advantage of here equipment costs a lot of money compared to the states.
Im not sure where you're located I'm just assuming America if not I apologize.
I paid $150 each for my old FX5's BNIB it was a customer appreciation deal.
They were worth every penny until I ran I to issues and regretted not dishing out more for the eheim.
I agree that any filter can malfunction in some way but I've never had any start to break down as fast as the fx5 which are suppose to be good quality.
I'm happy there was the option of the eheim. If not I'd still be using fx5's
Sumps I'll do next time but currently my tanks are bit drilled and I don't trust HOB over flows
PP~
I apologize for getting in the mix
