What do you believe a fair price is for a 6” Fly River turtle? A local store has some available and is asking 5k each. I know these are extremely rare however 5k seems high. Are there any other sources of Fly River Turtles in the US?

I personally wouldn't pay 5k for a a Fly River Turtle but If someone wants one badly enough they will. I agree seems a bit over priced.

Don’t know much about FRT but I actually have seen 1 before in person, the way it swims and looks has no other way to describe it expect for one word “majestic” these turtles are extremely rare and extremely expensive, for a 6” FRT I personally would be willing to pay maybe 3.5k depending on the location of course but the one that I say was about 15-20” and I think it was around 12k

5k is way overpriced IMO. there was a vendor on here selling some for like 2.2k i believe for small ones with paper work few months ago. their really not rare. I guess depending what state u live. I have an opportunity to get one for 500 at 6". Here in socal they are pretty cheap when I see them for sale. I would only pay thousands for rare morph ones like a pied or that white one that predatory fin has.

Is there a respected vender for Fly River Turtles in the US that anyone recommends?
The past few days I have seen a few vendors on Fakebook who claim to have captive bred FRT.I kind of doubt that they are captive bred but it would be wonderful if they are. Also, two vendors actually used the exact same photos!
I should have jumped on it when a member here offered me one for under a thousand dollars years ago.

One of the very rare legit documented captive bred batch of frts ever was done by a group in Canada a long time ago I believed well over 5 years ago and those babies being very rare as in captive bred went for 2k each if a remember correctly
