Ok, Need help from all you FLY RIVER turtle keepers... I have had my little girl for well over 3 years now and I am noticing a few issues as she ages and I hope that this is all normal.. Here is the situation. She is in a large 100 gallon tank, plenty of room and an FX5 filtration...so her environment is always perfect. Now I noticed two problems, she is getting these yellow spots on her skin/shell... please look at the pics... I used melafix and salt treatments along with water changes etc. The fish in the tank are perfect health! I know there is no disease. No new fish everyone has been together for along time. So her shell is my concern. I know she bumps into things in her tank and might scratch but these seem like bumps that arent scratches... Her second issue is underneath on her belly ...which i cant get pics of she has wat looks like red patches. Not scratches but red bumps maybe 1 inch by 1 inch. She is playful and acting / eating fine.. ANYONE???

????????? I wish I could help but I have no idea ??????????
How long have these bumps been there? Do they just show up now and then?
You sure the yellow/greenish isn't clumps or algea?

GET RID OF THE ROCK GRAVEL, You need sand...

Is the gravel part of the reason?

they need a soft substrate like sand because they normally eat off the bottom, and they also bury them selfs in the sand...

Ok, first, thanks for the site.www.flyriverturtle.com been there any web site doesnt really tell you exactly the problem, Frt's here in the tri state area run for about 1200 now... I bought mine 3 years ago and paid 800.00 but they are so worth the pennies... also the FRT has been with gravel for yearssssssssss.. that isnt the issue, she doesnt eat from the bottom, she feeds from the top.. also the marks are on the back end of the turtle... nothing on the front or nid range all on the lower back.... again she isnt lethargic....she is eating and playing fine... just concerned i know what happens when their skin gets fungus... it usually is the end of th end.... dont want that happening...Derailin the thread is fine, we al do it... and again these babies are expensive:-) THANKS EVERYONE FOR TRYING TO HELP...MIKE where are youuu??????????
