I've read OddBall's stickey. :) The only thing i really did'nt take from it? Was is UV a must when keeping these turtles? I've herd yes and no? I'm not running one now. But i can grab one today if needed. The one i have has pretty bad shell curl. From the owner previous to myself. I want to see this dude 100% healthy. :D I have his diet pretty good fruit's Alage waffer's ect..

If it need's UV? Is it filter UV or overhead light's? thanks guy's

I have never used UV on my FRT but I do bask her in the sun for a few hours once in awhile. I just put her in a tub with water in the yard on a sunny day when I am working on the lawn...

Ok cool, What are you feeding? If you don't mind my asking? thanks

We've had an FRT in the shop for almost 5 years with nothing but an AC110 on a 90 gallon tank and he's fine...

Feed it water hyacinth, vallisneria, hikari massivore pellets (very very sparingly), and a lot of different vegetation. He really likes coconuts :)

Thanks's for the help. I've never herd of the Hyacinth and Vallisneria? I'll do some looking for these item's aswell. :D

with my FRT, I do have a UV running as well as taking her out on sunny days to get some natural light as well. I feed him currently a diet of Kale and sinking algae wafers. I'm going to introduce some fruits soon as well.

Papaya, mango, elodea, turnip greens, water cress, water letuce, mustard greens, etc. The uv is a reptile uv lamp, not uv filter
