I just recently set it up, and I plan on doing alot of w/c's do to the bioload of the turtle and 8 Jewels.. The LFS has some huge yo-yo loaches but they are overpriced.

The basking area is on top of the overflow box and turtle log, the heat lamps hit them both fairly well, although the turtle usually only 'hangs' around with his rear end in the water. That is why the lamp is positioned slightly more towards the center.

Great set up!! Looks tizight! I wish i could keep fish with Herbs...but she makes it clear she would rather eat them than live with them. Perhaps i will try housing her with African cichlids...*evil grin*

I've had alot of luck with Giant Danios and Austrian Rainbow fish.. $2/ea and hardy, build a big school..
