If I have aquarium salt in with my FRT does he need to be taken out into water without to drink or will he be fine?

He'll be fine. From my understanding, they naturally live in slightly brackish in nature.

My 12 y/o FRT has been in brackish (with marine mix salts) conditions it's whole life.

I have brackish tanks for my snowflake morays but this guy is in freshwater with just aquarium salt. He's about 10

He also loves to eat black hair algae off the back of the tank, which is why I haven't scraped it off, has anyone else noticed this with there's?

listen to oddball. But i keep mine with hard freshwater and it lives perfectly fine.

Oddball: How much salt is being used in your brackish tank? I don't have a problem converting it.

The salt level is kept between 1.002 and 1.004. I also keep aragonite and block limestone in the tank to maintain an even high pH.
