I just got a new siphon from home depot, this is the second time ive used it. There is a piece that connects two 20 foot hoses and i was filling up the tank, i was going to turn off the water and the tubes came undone. Water is everywhere in my second story hallway. Funny part is my parents left for the grocery store and said not to flood the house. Lol. And heres the worse part. I wasnt paying attention and i filled up the tank with water that was just under 100 degrees. Fml i imediatly got out the bubbler and got some ice. Ive got the bubbler on and ice in a zip lock for about 10 mins and its getting down to about 92 ish. Luckily only one casualty. This is my first time with something like this and it scared the shiit out of me.

Lol I guess you learned your lesson. Pay attention next time. Also use cold water or warm water instead of hot warm your lucky you didnt kill everything in your tank.

I would also be worried about shock from adding ice to cool down too quickly, it sucks..but it has happened to all of us...me like...50 times lol.

I was trying to cool it down as fast as i could, i didnt think about anything else in all of the chaos, im just happy that only one fish died
