Didn't you just get your license like a couple weeks ago ("THIS SATURDAY" thread)? So how can you really be used to driving if you've only been driving by yourself for a couple weeks? IMO parents should get their kids beaters first and make the kid earn a newer car. But as everyone else said, be humble that your parents got you a brand new car and are paying for it to be fixed and be grateful that your dad didn't get hurt.


P.S. sorry to if I offend you in any way, it just irks me sometimes when people complain about things they should be very, very thankful for.

don't get me wrong... I'm completely grateful that my parents got me a new car. Just bummed out it got damaged that quick.

New car as a first car? You got yourself a great dad. My first car was a 1970 Opel GT that my dad got for me because that was his favorite car that he always wanted when he was my age. Btw that Opel was a fun car, it was a mini vette.

lol opel gt are pretty fun to drive. my uncle has one and he drove me around in it. that was a blast.

your dad bought you a brand new car? what a brat!!!!!!! my first was was a busted ass chevy lumina van that barely ran. remember those, big long thing shaped like a space rocket? haha

did it look like a rape van, or a creeper cooper, or what about a vanlester? lol. you would be surprised what people do these days when they see a big white van go down the street.

i hope you enjoy your new car. it sucks that it got busted up but it will make your first drive in it all the sweeter. good luck with it.

i get my first car in a couple of months, a new ford focus for free. everything is free, insurance and road tax. all i pay is petrol.

im going with the focus because i can use my war pension mobility supplement to get the car, insurance, servicing/repairs and road tax for free (technically not for free) and ford are the only company ive found who takes it. cant grumble though, ford are good and i get a new car every 3 years.
