Foam/rock build - SW

Thanks for the comments guys, keep em comin.

Questions about anything are definately welcome.

Just wanted to note that when submerging foam of any kind, just make sure there is enough weight(rock) on it to keep it down. im going to be testing a piece i did that is free standing and not attached to the back glass. So ill let you all know how that turns out as well.

Looks pretty good.

Have you considered painting the inside to your canopy to help protect against rot, and aid in reflecting some more light into the tank.

It wasn't in the DIY when the thread was made. It got moved here by a mod. do No you woulnd't know it was a DIY 3D background by looking at the title. You would think that someone might have just made some fake rocks out of foam like the title implies.

Regardless, it is one heck of a great idea!! Even if you adapted it to only building a few special rock areas, it's still awesome!
