Foggy/Cloudy Water

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would recommend using prime iinstead of stress coat it will detoxify your ammonia while still leaving it available to your beneficial bacteria, you can also overdose it per instructions in order detoxify nitrates.

also either add airstones or lower the water level to increase surface agitation from your filter output in order to help increase oxygen and aid in gill function while the levels are so out of whack in your tank.

Heres the update on my tank... I have not fed my fish since tuesday and neither will i today. I have not have time to get the tank because of work and as soon as i get home today I will vaccum the gravel and change 50% of the water. and in the morning check my parameters and if need be do another 50 % change.

Ok so i did the 50% water change last night and when i checked this morning the water cleared up dramatically. I vacummed the gravel good, and My fish look like they are very happy now but my redtail is still gasping and hides alot. The rest of the fish are fine. I know this maybe this is another type of question but what is the best way to heal wounds on fish. My fire eel has an infection on his nose and yesturday my 7 inch irridescent shark ran into the glass and cause a gash on his nose as well... I do not want them to get infected or infect other fish. thanks.. I will post my paramaters later in the day and see if another water change is needed
