foggy eyes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you can get a bottle of stress zyme or stability (from seachem) that will help with the cycling process as they seed bacterias into your tank.
the foggy you see on their eyes could be caused by ammonia level, should heal up soon once you get the water parameters fixed up.

ok i got my water tested for NH3(4) and it was 1.0 MG/L so it is getting there and thank you for the info. i feel so dumb i read this and that and feel that i have an ok grasp on what im doing but day after day i find out i dont know what im doing but im learning lol and thank you so much all of you!!!

what you need to be doing right now is like daily 50-80% water changes. You could lose some fish otherwise, and the biological bacteria colonize the substrate and filter, so changing water shouldn't affect water quality all that much. I would also stop feeding them until you start getting nitrAtes. The more protein that goes in the tank, the more ammonia being produced by your fish. I would grab a bottle of prime or amquel + and overdose the tank, it can render the nitrogenous waste inert but still usable for the bacteria.

good luck
