Foil?

my tank is starting to get green water so I need a quick fix background until I can get a real one, so my question is: Can you use foil as a background for your fishtanks?

You can stick anything you want on the back of a tank, if you're talking about putting it in the water, it doesn't sound like a good idea but I really don't know.

Like the gray silvery tin foil? I wouldn't just because the lights might make it "flash" or be too bright for the fish. But seriously, I have no clue! lol

exactly what I was going to say.

If you want you can even have a back ground made of arsenic and cyanide as long as its not in the water(and you don't put your hands in your mouth after touching it).

I don't think it will be to bright but it may suprise the fish at first.

im thinking itll reflect and stuff if you cant get aquarium backgrouds you shuold try vinyl paper

Trash bags or a sheet might be a better fit OP.

small tank, use a garbage bag or a poster board. Big tank just get a table liner. They come in any color and are super cheap
