Freshwater perch is delicious. So is walleye

i have never heard that before
i have heard that you aren't supposed to eat them after they fet to a certain size though

I heard that about squid, one would think you could catch a giant squid (arthitucus) and eat calamari for life. However when squid reach a certain size they produce something in their body that makes then inedible.

There are a few native fish that are legal, mostly baitfish but some of them could be eaten. Fallfish, creekchubs, golden shiners...these are all legal and grow to about a foot.

The only reason we can keep our ntive fish is to raise them and then dump the baby's back in the river. You have to have a permit to breed them. Don't ask me why, i think it was kinda weird myself but what can we do.

tilapia are just marvy to eat, according to my former teacher, in whose modern agriculture class we bred tilapia for aquaculture. (I didn't eat them, i'm a vegetarian) Also in costa rica and sa/ca they eat wolf cichlids, dovii, etc. anything big enought to catch. Also there's a thing known as plecostomus soup there that's just plain nasty. I wrote more about it on the thread 'Any Pleco Fanatics Out there?' under the title 'self imports'. Or, just check my posts-there's only 20. Seiously, it was nasty.
p.s.-also, my friend used to have an ictalurus punctuatus in a pond, and somebody stole it and presumably ate it, because they left its head there
ewwwww....

That is so gross. Now i don't want fish in my backyard especially where i live. IN THE GHETTO!!!!
