Food for color

My redbellies dont eat pellets or other commercial fish food, I wish they would but they love Raw fish fillet, squid fillet, life feeders (although that is not the best option) caryfish shrimps and beefheart.

piranhas do in fact eat some fruit at certain times of the year. When the fruit is ripe and falls from the trees into the amazon they will eat it. I even read that the natives that live around large infestations of piranhas will wait until the fruit is falling and then let their kids take a bath or swim or whatever on the opposite side of the river from where the P's are feeding. Not sure if this is true or not, considering the fact that a live person has never been killed by piranhas, but maybe they want to avoid nasty bites or something.
